Normally about 60 – 90 minutes.
That includes setting up the lights and having a quick break halfway through the shoot to refresh any children.
No – but you do!
Well a large white backdrop and studio lights transform a room in your home into a temporary studio.
This means that groups over eight or nine can be tricky but the advantages are that we do the travelling and young children remain in a familiar setting for relaxed and natural photographs.
Most people wear their usual, casual clothes.
Jeans look great in both colour and black & white – some families wear co–ordinating white t–shirts, for example, but it is entirely up to you.
If you want to change halfway through the sitting it will give you another option when you come to choose your prints.
No – portrait shoots can be just to record you kids as they grow and change, you needn’t be photographed if you don’t want that.
Or you can have a variety of groups so that you are all photographed but get a rest in between!
Absolutely!.
Dogs and cats are the most often involved but as long as the animal is happy then anything goes.
If you animal doesn’t like flash photography – it may be possible depending on the available light, to turn the studio lights off.
If you have a very young baby, they can get a bit lost in a larger group situation so it may be best to take them wrapped in some fluffy towels, for example – concentrating on close ups of their face, hands and feet, as a record for you.
We tend not to use flash as young eyes are very sensitive and so the available lighting is much more important in that situation.
They are taken in colour but can be printed in black and white too – so you can choose to have one or the other, or both!
They can be ready within a couple of days if there’s a special occasion coming up and you’re in a bit of a rush to buy a photo as a gift, but generally within a week of the shoot.
Print prices start at £ 25.
Because eyephoto charges some of the fairest prices in Nottingham we get a lot of repeat business and have worked with many families again and again.
This is a different approach to some of the big studios that aim to maximize revenue from each job at the expense of repeat custom.
No, our prints can come with or without a card window mount, according to your preference and also in several different forms.
But if you do choose a frame all our products are of a very standard, some not available on the high street and certainly more convenient than doing it all yourself!
Box frames and block mounts fit flush to your wall and give a clean, modern look.
Your photo can also be printed onto a wrap–around canvas or sandwiched between layered acrylic.
This is an increasingly popular option that we can provide.
You choose between 30 to 45 images of your family, these are then printed onto photographic paper and bound like a hard back book.
Pictures can also be on the front and back cover with names down the spine.
We archive your photos for a year from the sitting date to give you chance to purchase prints as gifts for special occasions like birthdays or Christmas, for example.
